Throughout her talented career she has been portrayed some of the best characters, from the lovable and naïve Roase Nylund (Golden Girls) to the kooky grandmother in The Proposal—and spoken some of the greatest one-liners. “If the guy’s a cutie, you’ve got to tap that booty.” (Hot in Cleveland) or on SNL “Well, ladies, as I used to say to my loving husband, Irving, of 55 years: ‘What are you waiting for, stupid? Eat it!” and on Late Show with David Letterman: “Vodka is kind of a hobby.”
Betty, you’ve got the sense of humor of a teenage boy, the mouth of a sailor, and the brain of a comedic genius. You are a golden girl, a golden child, a bright star. A role model to not only me, but hundreds, thousands, perhaps millions of others.
