A new year calls for fresh book covers!
For the last year or so I’ve been debating changing the Shadow Quest series covers. As well as a slight name change, freshening up the whole series. For one reason or another I’ve been putting it off, till now. Shadow Quest is my first paranormal romance series which also incorporates a bit of science fiction and fantasy.
I’ve mocked up several different cover options for The Demon’s Possession, vacillating over them, but never quite liked the vibe or overall look. If I was going to change the cover, it would need to blow the old cover out of the water.
Not that the original book cover was the end all be all, but I do know that my readers adored it, and it’s you guys I dread disappointing the most. But then I’m sure you will forgive me if I misstep. ^_^
Anyway, on and off I’ve messed around with fonts and colors and images and should I leave the titles as is or change them? In all honesty, I’ve been wanted to change the name from Demon Possession to The Demon’s Possession for some time now—I feel it lends itself better to the paranormal romance genre and the books overall plot—but I always figured it was too late. The book is out there. The tile is what it is.
Then I said fuck it. I’m the one here who says what goes and what doesn’t. If it’s good for the series and if it might turn new readers on to the series, then why not? The covers are all done, ready to go, have been for a while now, let’s get these puppies up!
