The short story Racing Hearts was originally featured in the anthology The Mammoth Book of Futuristic Romance: a collection of shorts written by several futuristic and sci-fi romance authors.
A while back, I had briefly published this Shadow Quest short by itself, offering it for free to my Facebook fans and those in my reader’s club, who absolutely adored the sneak peek into Phase Nine—the infamous space race mentioned in Demon Possession.
I decided to re-publish Racing Hearts as a perma-free download for all my fans who didn’t get to read it, and for anyone who wants to sample my work without committing to a full length novel.
Racing hearts is a very quick read, and you’ll probably finish it in twenty minutes, but the romance is just as impactful as my full length novels.
